Why are the audio links that we have on our website now downloading to my PC instead of playing like they used to? In Firefox they play, but in IE/Chrome, they download to a Download folder on my C: drive. They didn’t use to do that. What is up?!?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy,
Can you send me a link to a page with the audio links?
If the link is a “typical” link, then it is up to the browser’s settings whether or not it plays or downloads when it is clicked on.
You can embed audio so it will show a player in the browser virtually all the time by using the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/
Cheers!

Thanks.
Your links are the typical kind, which means it is up to the browser (and the viewer’s settings) if they’ll play within the browser or trigger a download. There’s not anything we can change about that.
If you want to force it to be played in the browser, you can wrap it in an
[audio]shortcode as described in the link I sent in the last response. If you have any questions or need anything else, please let me know. Cheers!
