Why are the dashboards between our blogs different?

I’m not having a problem. I just have a question. Not urgent.

I’m a novice and I love WordPress. I originally set up a blog under http://www.siteground.com as “floydandchristine.com/BLOG” [Keybobby Books] which is our ‘main’ blog. Following that we set a blog for my wife as “grandmotherslittlehelper.com/blog”.

Just recently I set up another blog for my wife as “http://keybobbypress.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php” [christineswritings.com/blog] and bought her domain name (christineswritings.com). The dashboard on this blog is quite different from the other two blogs. I’m just beginning to discover and use the variations within the different themes, so these differences are not hindering or confusing me. I’m just wondering why this blog is so different.

Thank you. Keep up the good work!

    Happy New Year (late greeting).

    Hi Floyd,

Happy New Year to you, too :) The reason those Dashboards are different is because floydandchristine.com/blog is a self-hosted installation of WordPress, whereas christineswritings.com is a WordPress.com hosted blog.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two separate entities:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
