Why are the dates of my posts mixed up?

    My posts do not show according to their dates of posting.
    When you scroll down, some posts with an earlier date appear twice or three times further down and after older posts. How can they be made to appear in proper sequence?
    In my dashboard the sequence of my posts are correct and according to the dates posted!
