Why are the likes not being displayed?

Add topic to favorites
I have turned the “Show Likes” option on in the settings. But none of the posts are displaying the likes that I have received. Can you please help?

WordPress has had a problem with the ‘Likes’ images for a very, very long time. Months, in fact. Why no-one has managed to work out what it is can only be described as a mystery.
We are all hoping that someone, some time will either FIX IT!, or at the very least give us some indication of a timeline for fixing it.

There cannot be a timeline proffered for a fix until the cause is determined and that has yet to happen.
