Why are the pictures on my website appearing larger?
-
Pictures on my website are supposed to display at no larger than 500 pixels per side for the “large” size, but they are displaying as larger than that even though I select the size when I upload media. For example, the html for the last picture on my most recent blog post is as follows:
However, it’s not displaying at 375 x 500 but at 500 × 667 pixels.
Here is the URL for that post:
http://theodoragoss.com/2013/09/22/alone-time/As far as I can tell, this has happened to all of my vertical images: they are no longer appear sized properly.
Please let me know how I can fix this! Thanks!

Hi Theodora – This is likely related to a recent change, which you can read more about here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/images-resizing?replies=1I’m checking with our developers for a bit more information on why your maximum height setting is not being respected.

Theodora, the problem with image resizing for portrait oriented images you reported earlier has been fixed.
Thanks so much for your patience!
If you spot any additional problems with images, please reply here or post in the forums.
