Hi! It seems you are including extra <p></p> tags at the bottom of your posts. Try clicking on the “Text” tab when editing your posts and removing those tags.
-
Edit the post and use the Text (HTML) editor. When you open the post in the Text editor you will see what you need to delete. Delete these code tags:
</div> </div> </div>The reason this is happening is because you are creating this and how to avoid doing this again can be explained so read on.
Blog editors and word processors are not the same and do not work the same way. The web standard is one blank line only, so you cannot add more blank lines by pressing return repeatedly like you would do with a typewriter or in a word processing application. If you want to learn how to format and space your posts and pages see:
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/09/13/wordpress-formatting-and-spacing/
See also: http://en.support.wordpress.com/advanced-html/P.S. When you create a new post, always make sure the Format tool is set to Paragraph before you start typing. It’s in the Visual editor Row 2 first position “style”. See the illustration here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2 If you forget to do that then edit the post, highlight all in the Visual editor, select Paragraph from the Format tool, switch editor to Text then switch back to Visual and click Update.

Rats! The forum software redacted the code above. I will post this with spaces so you can find the tags. Locate the Non Breaking Space & n b s p; tags at the end of the post and delete all of them.

Yeah right. I have been here for over 8 years answering questions. I predate almost every support staff member even being on staff and I predate the support docs. I do not post any potential answers in support forum threads. I do not post into any threads at all unless I know I have a correct and comprehensive answer to provide.
-
P.S. Sorry, I had to answer the phone. I forgot that the forum software does not retain Non Breaking Space & n b s p; tags when we place them between code tags or backtics.
-
Much respect, I’m impressed! I thought those would work because yesterday i learned how to escape a backslash within code tags:
.selector { content: "A"; }I say my answers are potentially useful because I’m still a newbie, we all have to start somewhere :)

Yes indeed there are number of newbies answering questions here and as this is a peer support forum those of us, who are more experienced and who are NOT staff wannbes, are faced with not only answering questions but also ghosting every newbie answer to make sure (1) it’s a correct answer (2) or to learn something new.
-
I’m sure you have an awesome library of really good answers – would you mind sharing them via a public Google doc so others can learn from them
-
-
There’s no way I’m going to do that. You can learn use search utilities and then backlink to correct answers in threads provided by experienced volunteers and staff, and/or you can create your own answers.
-
P.S. I don’t liker this off topic chat in threads and won’t be continuing with it.
I’m worried that tlohuis who posted here question here will be sidetracked from editing and removing the extraneous code in her post by it.

Thank you all so much for all your help. My blog is back to looking normal, again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)
