Note: To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements from partners like Google, Sharethrough and SkimLinks. We try hard to only run them in limited places. If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No-Ads Upgrade.

I agree with The Art of Running … I really don’t think these are the kinds of ads that WordPress would sell … and they are all over the site — top, bottom, in the sidebars pushing out content, etc. NOT GOOD!

To add … these cheesy — and borderline inappropriate — ads show up in my dashboard as well, and when I’m logged in — contrary to this:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/:
“We only run them in limited places, and we do not show ads to logged-in readers, which means only a very small percentage of your page views will actually contain ads.” -

Also, we don’t run “trashy “meet girls” ads” either.
The ads you’re reporting here are definitely being added by a corrupt or infected browser extension or add-on, not by us.
