Why are there still ads on my blog?
-
I just purchased a “no ads” upgrade on my blog theballparktour.mlblogs.com, and have cleared out the cache, but there are still several banner ads. How do I remove them? I have made the blog private until this is resolved, because I do not want *anybody* to be subjected to them.

I don’t see any banner ads at http://theballparktour.wordpress.com/
Would you please take a screenshot and upload it via Media -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard so I can take a look?

I changed to a non-MLBlogs theme when I noticed the ads were still there. (I am really serious about not wanting anybody to see ads). I have switched it back to “MLB Retro” and the banner ads are still there.

Hm, this is either an issue with the MLBlogs theme or a requirement of their network. I’m looking into it.
You can switch back to a different theme now if you’d like to.

I’d like to get back to the baseball theme, but not if it comes with ads. I’ll use “Rusty Grunge” until I get further word. Thanks for your help!

Yes, unfortunately ads are a requirement of the MLBlogs themes. There are two options at this point.
1. Use a different, non-MLBlogs, theme.
2. I can cancel and refund the No Ads upgrade.
Please let me know how you’d like to proceed!

Well, shame on MLB! I guess I’ll be looking at some other themes over the next few weeks. I find the WordPress ads much less objectionable than the gigantic banners that MLB tried to push on me, but since I’ve made the investment to make this blog completely ad-free, I might as well keep the upgrade anyways.
Thanks again,
