why are video ads appearing on my blog without me knowing about them?

  Hi there – several readers of my blog have complained to me that when they visit my blog they are greeted by a pop up video ad. I understand that your company reserves the right to do this from time to time, as you see fit, but should you not at least let me know what these ads are and how many times they appear? The way my blog looks is important to me, and I have no idea how it looks when these ads appear.

  Please can you explain their frequency, what they are and where exactly they appear.

  We sometimes display discreet AdSense ads on your blog. Neither you or your readers will see any ads if you all are logged into your WordPress.com account. To eliminate ads completely from your blog, you may purchase the no adsupgrade.

  Thanks for replying to my query. Is there any way you can tell me how many ads are appearing for readers who do not have wordpress accounts, and also what the ads are for?

  The ads are to cover the hosting and operating costs of you blog, to keep it free.

  The display of ads varies from time to time, but if you log out temporarily, you should be able to see them.
