Why Are WP.com Stats Much Higher than Sitemeter.com?
-
wordpress.com stats reports nearly 50 visits for 2/10/09. (i’m logged in).
sitemeter.com stats reports 5 visits, and about 20 page views for the same date. (set to ignore my own visits).
why the discrepancy?
i believe the sitemeter is more correct.
is wp.com stats unique visitors, or page views?

i have blogs posted on wordpress.com, so my question regarding them is:
is wp.com stats unique visitors, or total page views?
-
Page views, not unique.
You might also see a discrepancy because of dates — our stats are always in GMT, so the dates might not align with Sitemeter.
