Why are you charging my personal credit card and how did you get it?

    For some reason, my personal credit card has been charged $89.50 this month and last. Can someone please explain to me why this is happening and how you got my credit card information? Thank you.

    This is WordPress.com. Are you sure the charges are from WordPress.com? Plans here are charged annually, not monthly. You can check if the charge is from WordPress.com/Automattic here: https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/

    The only way we could have charged you is if you previously bought an upgrade from us for a WordPress.com site. You would have done that via another WordPress.com account, as the account you’re using to post here is only a few hours old.

    If you’re not sure what site the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/. You can also use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.
