Why are you hijacking my Dreamhost websites?
-
I understand the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com.
Recently, I migrated my websites, copyclinic.net and mikerwriter.com to DreamHost.
By default, my websites show up with a direct link to dashboard and customizer, etc at the top of my Chrome browser.
Today, however, the direct links are gone and your website is behaving as though it owns or hosts my domains. It does not.
What is up with this?
Please leave my website alone. I am not hosting on WordPress.com again.
Thank you,
Michael Ryan

Your websites are using the open source wordpress.org and are in no way connected to your wordpress.com account nor hosted on the wordpress.com platform. So wordpress.com certainly doesn’t interfere with your websites.
Support for your sites regarding the missing direct links is at https://wordpress.org/support/ -
Hello,
I understand that what you’re saying and I trust that you believe it too. However, this is a screenshot. What are these 3 websites doing on WordPress.com if Jetpack did not automatically put them there? I did not.

If you didn’t install Jetpack in your wordpress.org sites, there is no way wordpress.com is connected to your sites.
The fact you don’t see the black top bar with direct links is because wordpress.org doesn’t have such a top bar. -
There you go again, assuming I’m an idiot and you’re a genius. I know what happened and jetpack did this. I use s web host that provides its own (much better) version of a black bar. Go find something useful to do.

@mikerwriter do you mind you language? I’m just a volunteer and user of wordpress.com and wordpress.org who is trying to help. I don’t appreciate your rude language at all, https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/best-practices-community-standards/

You’re the rude one. Assuming you know what you clearly don’t is far worse than spicy language, in my book. Go play with yourself.

Hi there,
I don’t see any of your sites connected to Jetpack and, since I can’t see the screenshot, I’m not sure what you see on your end.
To add a screenshot here, you can use an online tool for that (such as https://snipboard.io/) and paste the link into your reply.
