Why are you polluting photos on posts with ads?

Some of my favorite writers are having ads for dog spy-cams and diet supplements popping up over the bottom 1/3 of the photos in their blogs. It detracts from the integrity of the post, and makes me as a consumer want to boycott the product advertised out of spite. I hope the advertisers realize they are upsetting people and not likely helping sales at all. Ads at the end of posts don’t bother me, and neither would ads in the margins, but these pop-ups are insulting to both writer and reader. As someone who occasionally posts original artwork to illustrate my posts, I would be furious to have part of my imagery obscured by this drivel.
