Why are you putting ads on my blog?
-
I paid you $56 for my site in November and you’re sticking ads on it. I looked at the reasons for the ads and believed I had opted out of such a thing when I purchased the options I purchased and my domain. Since no one but me ever looks at my site, you’re not getting much for your efforts but it would have been nice to know you were going to crap up my pages before I paid for them. Think I’ll look at other options next November.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
You must login under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades for it an tn look here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
Do you see a No-Ads upgrade there?
Do you also see billing for it here > Dashboard > Store > Billing History ? -
I already got that you want $43 more of my dollars to make me “ad free.” Why when I signed up didn’t you make a point of telling me that with the cheap seats came Advertising over which I have absolutely no control? The point I was making is that I had NO idea that my blog would have ads of your choosing on it. The other point, come next November, since you’re not the only game in town, I’ll move on. I don’t like surprises.

The numbers indicate you bought the No Ads Upgrade – but if you are seeing ads on your own site when logged in (the normal Ads are not seen to logged in users) – then you have an infected browser and your browser is adding the ads, not WordPress.COM.
All WordPress.COM ads have an “about these ads” link next to them
turn off your browser extensions and turn them on one at a time to see which one is putting ads on all the sites you visit – then delete that extension
-
I think you may have an issue on your browser or computer like auxclass indicates. Adsare sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.
These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads:

The ads have “about these ads” on top of them. They say “tell me more” and “dismiss this message” under them. Between, it says “Occasionally, some of your visitors may see an advertisement here.” So, they appear to be WP ads.
-
Then you appear NOT to have the No Ads upgrade. What does it say on the dashboard Upgrades page?
-
That is the warning on blogs that don’t have the No Ads since the standard ads are not visible to logged in users, my plain sites have those warnings on them to tell me that ads might show up – WordPress.com did not used to warn about the ads an people would finally visit their site when not logged in and get all bent about the ads on their blog – the terms of service mention the ads but nobody seemed to read that section
