Why are you trying to charge me twice to map to my own domain?

I am trying to register with you. I have purchased the package which adds up to $26 and includes mapping to my own domain, but when i try to register that domain name the site tries to charge me $13 again. What is going on?k

Hi,
The $26 you paid was for registration of the domain hgreen2013.com. If you want to map a different domain, that would be an additional $13 just as the system is telling you.
If you registered that domain by mistake, you can cancel it within 48 hours of purchase.

I want to cancel that registration and start again but I cannot see how to do it. Also, you advertise a ‘free’ blog but when i tried to register I was told that the free wordpress.com was not available. Why not?

I’m seeing that transaction as having been refunded, so you should be set up to map your existing domain.

WordPress.com is absolutely free. There are upgrades that you can purchase, as you now know, but nobody has to purchase anything and millions of our members use WordPress.com without paying anything.
The only message I can think of that would be similar to that would be something telling you that the _______.wordpress.com site name that you had chosen was unavailable. If you see the message again, please take a screenshot and let me know (if you do not mind). Screenshot instructions here:
