Why aren't all the customizations working in the Shawburn theme

    I downloaded the Parent and child themes for Shawburn and uploaded them to my site. The Shawburn customization’s are not all listed when I activated the theme. I can’t do things like change the colours of the site. Can anyone assist?

    Hi there,

    On WordPress.com we offer several features built in that aren’t part of the open source WordPress software, and one of those is the color customization options we offer on all our themes. In other words, if you’re using Shawburn on a self-hosted WordPress site, you won’t see those.

    Instead, you’ll need to use custom CSS code to change the colour scheme for your site.

    Some other features supported in this theme require the Jetpack plugin to work, specifically Related Posts, the Social Menu, and Content Options. You can use the theme without Jetpack, but then those features won’t be available.
