Why aren’t avatars showing up?

I changed the settings for the avatars from the default one to the monster id generated avatars for users without custom avatars. But now none of the avatars are showing up even the custom ones. I tried changing the settings to the original ones to see if they would show up and they didn’t. How do I correct this problem?

My blog has the same problem. Instead of the avatars, I’m getting funny kalaedascope-looking, variant colored flowers. I don’t know what’s going on.

Me too. If I log in, my avatar shows up fine, but the direct link with my user name disappears. If I’m logged off, my username direct link works, but my avatar goes to some random monster or kaleidoscope.
Others have both user name direct link and avatar at the same time.
Help here, too, please? Thx-GnuKid

It’s not necessary to post to two threads. I answered you in the other one. Your issue is different.
Willshin, the issue is that the settings on our blogs have changed with the new avatars. It was covered in WP.com announcements on their blog.
