Why aren't Categories showing in the click-down menu?

Hi, I can’t see my categories displayed in the click-down menu in the side bar – although they display under each post. Ditto with my tags.
Help please!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you actually published posts with categories assigned to them? if not then there is no data for any widget to display.

I’ve published (privately) three posts with different categories and set up the categories widget in the sidebar – but nothing appears in the categoreis widget? I’ve gone through the categories support page and have done everything (I think). On my dashboard for posts it shows the categories I’ve selected against each post but on the dashboard for categories it shows the categories but says I have no posts…
