Why aren't changes i've made to my blog see-able?
-
I have tried to update a page on my blog and my dashboard shows that this has worked but when I get onto my blog, you can’t see the changes.. I haven’t had this problem before and would like to know how to fix it! :)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Eveline,
Can you please describe some of these specific changes that aren’t saving so I can take a look?
-
Hi, I’ve been trying to write something new on my ‘updates’ page. When I click on this page on my dashboard, it shows the new update but when I go to my actual blog, you can’t see it.
With that, you can see all the previous updates i’ve written on the ‘updates’ page on my actual blog but my dashboard doesn’t show this – I can only see the update i have been trying to post but not all the previous stories which I used to be able to see if i would just scroll down..
I hope I make any sense! ;)

You are not clear on the differences between Pages and Posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
Static Pages do not update the way the main page for Posts, which by default is the front page, does. Static pages are only for content that’s rarely updated at all.
-
(1) There is only one page we can post to in any blog.
(2) The static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ we bloggers create do not automatically update.Only the dynamic pages like Archives, Categories and Tags created by the software when we publish a post will update automatically update with new posts.
By default the front page of the blog is the Page that displays all posts in your blog. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

Hi Eveline,
Are you saying that you edit this page here and when you save the changes, it reverts as if you had not edited it:
https://evelineoppelaar.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=249&action=editOr are you saying that you want these posts here to show on your Updates page:
https://evelineoppelaar.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.phpIf it’s the second thing, as @timethief suggested, go to Settings->Reading and choose updates for your “Posts” page at the top: https://evelineoppelaar.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

Hi Eurello,
Yes exactly – i saved the changes and it reverted as if I didn’t edited it. For some weird reason, the changes I made did ‘come through’ yesterday without me clicking on anything or trying something. My previous stories on that page are gone though so now it has only saved my previous edit and not everything that was already on the page..

Hi Eveline,
You can view and restore the past revisions of the page:
Page RevisionsI’m not sure why your changes weren’t ‘taking’. If this ever happens again, can you please try an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome and let me know if the same thing happens there? This is to rule out any possible browser-related issue. Please also make sure you’re using the most recent version of Safari.
