Why aren't images resized on my blog?
-
Images that I’ve resized using the percentage based resizing options after I click on an embedded image have stopped working. Images are now whatever size I uploaded them as. Is there a way to fix this? I notice it has retroactively been applied to every image, even ones that were previously sized differently.
Thanks!

Thank you!
It *was* all fixed but now I’m having problems again. The images on the page look fine, but every time I add an image, it doesn’t seem to want to be resized in the preview. I’ve always really liked that feature as the “large” seems too big to me and the “medium” seems too small. Am I doing something wrong or is this a tech glitch?

If you mean the image inserted in the Visual Editor, when you click on it and click the edit icon, you should be able to adjust the size by percentage via the Advanced Settings tab.
Is that not working for you?

That’s what I’m talking about. It definitely was not working but got fixed after that original question I posted. Now, it appears to not be working again. The images I put in looked right when I viewed them in the editor, but when I clicked preview, they had not been resized, which is what happened before.

Yes, still incorrect. The post I put up this morning has the images much bigger than I had resized them to be.

Okay, I’ve just run the tool that should fix that up for you again. However, can you let me know when you first created that post? Your images should definitely not be resized to full-size each time you publish a post.
Could you also try creating a new, test post for us to see if you come across the problem again? That will help us take a closer look.

The post was first created earlier – but after the original problem had been fixed. I’m not sure though. I tend to queue up posts rather than post in real time.
I did a post this morning though, which I started as a brand new post, and it had the same issue. I put in the photo, resized it down a little. It looked resized on the editor, but isn’t now on the post.
Thanks for the help with this!

Okay, can you let me know the title of this recent post as well as which specific image it is? Thanks.

It’s fixed on the previous ones already posted, but I just tried to write a new post for tomorrow and the same problem is present in the preview. Grr… (growling for the problem – you’re all being really helpful!).

Are you resizing the images after upload? If so, are you using the percentages in the Advanced tab?
-
-
Would you mind seeing if it works properly if you just choose the large or medium size in the basic settings?
-
I’ve already done that. Medium and Full Size both work fine. I never use large as it’s so big. But I find full size to also be really large. I’d rather be able to resize with the percentages on the advanced tab, but if there’s a way to custom size them on my computer, I will grudgingly do it. However, no matter what I upload, it always comes out the same size for me according to if I’ve selected “medium” or “full size.” So, I would need some pointers on how to do that.

Alright, try the percentage method again and look in your editor’s HTML tab when you’re done.
In the image’s HTML tag you’ll see a class statement with “size-full”
Is it any better when you delete size-full?

Okay. That fixed it! Thank you! Am I going to just have to do that every time then? I didn’t used to have to.
