Why aren't invitations being received to be authors to private blog?

    I have invited students in my class to be authors on our private class site. Only some of them have received the invitation. They are all wordpress members because we had another blog last year. They are now signing up as viewers, but they can’t post their homework that way. I did not get a response in the forum and am getting desperate as the class meetings just keep clicking by. Thanks!
