Why aren't links and post previews not opening in new tabs?

  When I clink on a link, for example “Support” it does not open in a new tab, it opens in the same window. The same thing happens when I try to preview a post.

  Hi Lydia,

  I found that if you view a preview of a post directly from the post you are editing, it will open up in a new tab. However, if you preview a post from the Post > All posts page it will open up in the same tab. However, no matter what if you right click on a link and select Open Link in New Tab it will open up in a new tab! :)

  Hi Grace,

  Thank you for your prompt response. Up until a few days ago, it happened exactly as you described but for a few days, that wasn’t happening. At this point it is a moot point because last night, I noticed that the problem has been fixed. For my edification, how do you right click on an iPad? I can’t figure that out.

  Hi Lydia,

  I’m glad it was fixed! There wouldn’t be a right-click on an iPad, but in Safari you should be able to hold your finger on the link and have a contextual menu appear. This might change depending on the app you are using.
