Why aren't my articles showing up in tag feeds?
-
I currently have three blogs on wordpress. My main blog is Eccentric Chai. Recently, I have noticed a serious decrease in my activity on both Eccentric Chai and A Flock of Three. So, I decided to go and look for them in the feeds that coincide with my tags (ex. photos) and none of my articles are showing up. They are still showing up with my blog My Twenty-Seventh Year. If they weren’t, I wouldn’t be getting any views. So, I’m wondering if there is a setting I have selected, or something isn’t getting tagged correctly which is preventing me from showing up in feeds.
Another question: I wrote an article yesterday that got my blog A Flock of Three over 450 views. I’m pretty sure it’s because it was shared on facebook 19 times and on a birth board on Babycenter. However, I have received no likes or comments. Is there a setting that keeps non-wordpress members from commenting? Is there a setting that I have turned on that is preventing comments?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I need staff support on this. Because from what I’m reading, I can’t fix this without a staff member. What do I do? I’m not going to upgrade my wordpress just so I can ask how to fix it. If need be, I’ll find a different place to run my blogs.

It could be that you are inadvertently spamdexing. When it comes to Categories and Tags, assigning the least combined number of relevant ones is the rule of thumb. Will you please check out the reasons for non-appearance here?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts If you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, then you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there. -
Is that for each post? Or altogether? Because I just wrote a post that only had about three, because I was worried that might have been it, and it’s still not showing up.

re: http://aflockofthree.wordpress.com/
Comments are open on the posts on that blog. However, there are so many images on the latest post that it peeved right off having to wait for them to load so I could even see a comment box. -

The combined total of 15 categories and/tags is what Staff have set. It’s extremely generous.
I’m a librarian and trust me when you say you are happy I did not set the maximum as it would be half of that. As an analogy how much would you love a librarian who sent you to 15 different library shelves to find a book that should have been assigned to 1 shelf?

Sorry. :( I was referring to this post http://aflockofthree.wordpress.com/2013/02/12/recently-in-margots-world/

No, fifteen categories is fine, I was just wondering if that’s overall as opposed to fifteen per post.
-
Okay, so do I have to go and delete all of my categories and tags? Or do I just have to do that for a particular post? I have a very versatile post, so I have lots of different categories.
-
The maximum is a combined total 15 Categories and Tags on each and every individual post.
-
okay, so then my question is: why isn’t my most recent post showing up even though it only has a combined total of 4-5?
-
For every post that has more than the maximum combined total of 15 Categories and Tags you must edit and remove the excess Categories and/or Tags from that post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/

That could be because there are previously posts in the blogs that have more than the maximum and the software finally apprehended that.

WordPress.com is very accommodating and generous re: the maximum combined number of Categories and Tags. Google is not. On one hand the traffic flow form WordPress.com topics pages is negligible. On the other the traffic flow from Google is significant.
Neither Categories nor Tags are required for SEO (search engine optimization) purposes. These days search engines pay more attention to your keywords in your content than they do to your keywords in Tags/Categories. Note also that Google’s algorithms can detect when any Category or Tag assigned does not appear in the text of a post. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/01/revisiting-keywords-and-tags/

So once I remove those excess tags and such, my posts should start showing back up?
Yes but it may take several days.

You’re welcome and my bill will be in the mail … lol :D (just joking). Best wishes for happy blogging!
