Why aren't my blogs appearing under topics?
-
I haven’t used more than ten tags/categories combined, however my blog is not appearing under the topics section, which results in little to no site traffic for me. Help me be popular!

Thank you. I don’t believe any of them apply to me. The only questionable one is if my blog was flagged as mature. I don’t believe it should be, but I have no idea who makes that call, and “mature” is pretty subjective. How can I find out if my account was flagged as mature?
-
It’s definitely not marked mature.
What is one of the topics that you’re trying to find your blog under?
-
-
Yeah, I’m definitely not seeing it.
In the past, have you ever miss-categorized/tagged your posts or used more than 10 categories + tags?
-
I don’t think I’ve ever miss-categorized any posts. Every post is written with the intent to make people laugh, so “humor” is the usual category. Sometimes I write about my kids or husband and the goofy stuff they do, so “family’, “parenting” or “children” may be added to the categories. I’ve never used more than ten tags based on advice I read when I first got started here on WordPress. Usually the categories/tags combined is a maximum of eight for each post.

Ok, at this point, I’m going to have to chalk this down to the relative age of your blog.
The next time you post, try putting a unique random tag in, like “testing287” then check for that tag in the reader after 24 hours. Yours should be the only post.
