Why aren’t my categories showing in blogroll?
-
Hi,
I’m very new here, so apols if this is something obvious, but I have checked the forum to see if it’s covered, couldn’t find anything specific to my query.
My categories aren’t showing up in my blogroll even though all of my links have been tagged to blogroll as well as any cats they fall under. One of them has a description but it’s not showing either. I’m using Greyzed theme.
Also, less importantly, is it possible to change the font size of these links or any other text elelment when using this or other free themes please?
Many thanks in advance.

First off, go to appearance > links, click on the right end of the links widget title bar to open it and select “show link description” then click save.
Have you assigned other link categories to your links (links > edit)? It appears as if you have only the “blogroll” links category assigned to them.

To change the font size, you would need CSS editing experience that the paid CSS upgrade.

Hi sacred, thanks for the quick response.
Yes, all except the wordpress.com one have cats assigned according to my dashboard but they’re not showing on the blog itself.

Ah, got it now thanks! I just needed to select all links from the links drop down in the widget. But I now have the entire blogroll first and then all the cats below, how do i change it so that the blogroll list doesn’t include those that are in categories already?
Thanks

You default category for Links is found on this page -> Dashboard -> Settings ->
Writing Settings -> Default Link Category (drop-down)When you create Links you choose which categories to assign to them. You can edit here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/
If you want your Links to only appear in your BlogRoll then create a Category for “Links” “BlogRoll” or whatever, and only assign the category you create to your Links and that will solve your problem.
