Why aren’t my categories working?

  Hi,
  I have a film review blog using a pre-made theme (Masu), however, my category page doesn’t seem to be filtering my categories correctly. When clicking on a certain category, it just shows all of the posts and doesn’t separate the different categories. Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks.

  Hi,

  It’s primarily so we can keep track of what has or hasn’t been resolved. Even if you’re experiencing the same type of issue, we may not necessarily get a notification that this thread has a new response as the issue was resolved for the person who originally started this thread. The intention is to make sure that your request doesn’t get lost.

  Nonetheless, I was able to make a similar change in your Archive template, activating the “Inherit query from template” setting for the Query Loop:

  • https://wordpress.com/support/site-editing/theme-blocks/query-loop-block/#settings

  This should now mean that your category pages display the correct posts.

  Hey folks, just letting you know the bug in the theme has been fixed.

  We had “patched” your archive template for you. If you want to go ahead and revert those changes now, you’ll be able to get any other updates to the archive pages as they are released.
