Why aren't my menus showing up right?

My menus are not showing up properly. I am using the Twenty Twelve theme. I want to have drop down menus. I went to my Dashboard, to appearances, to menus, and I followed the directions to create a primary menu, and under that Primary menu, I put all the pages that i wanted to show up on my home page, and under specific pages, I inserted other pages that I wanted to show up as drop down links (as opposed to showing up in the main menu bar). I did this by dragging them to the right slightly and inserting them beneath and indented inward of the page I wanted them to drop down under. I then saved the menu, but when I go look back at my sight, all of the pages are showing up in the main menu bar, even the ones that are supposed to drop down, and none of them drop down. They also do not show up in the same order as I have them listed in my dashboard. I did clear my cashes, and I am using firefox. How can I get the menus to show up properly?
