Why aren't my personal pictures showing up in past posts on my blog?

Many past posts in my blog, elley8.wordpress.com now have missing pictures. These pictures were uploaded and there was no problems at the time of posting, but I have recently been re-reading some of my older posts (e.g. November 2009, Halloween Night in Cambodia) and most or all of the pictures are now not visible and seem lost. Why is this and what can I do to get them back? Thanks for any input,

Are these pictures you uploaded from your own computer to wordpress.com, or are they hotlinked images from other sites?
Post a link to your page/post so we can see an example.

(1) Are the missing images found in your Media Library ie. did you upload it from your computer onto WordPress.com servers? And, if so, then are they still in the Media Library now? Please check.
(2) Or are the missing images ones you have linked to on some other server somewhere else online such as flickr or photobucket who allow hotlinking?
(3) Or are the missing images ones you have linked to on some other server somewhere else online that does not allow hotlinking, which is also known as bandwidth theft?
If you removed any images from your Media Library then they cannot be displayed. If you are hotlinking to images on sites that don’t allow that the images will not be displayed.

If you want those missing images to appear on your blog you must upload them into your blog ie. onto WordPress.com servers.
