Why aren't my replies to comments visible?

  When I reply to comments (I reply through the comments section in my dashboard), they do not show up underneath the comment the reader left. I.e. they do not appear to be visible to the public. However, in my dashboard my comment is included in the comment count for that page, so I can’t understand what’s happening.

  Any ideas as to why they are not visible?

  Any help would be much appreciated!

  They don’t show on the Notifications, but they do show on the posts themselves.

  That’s strange because I can’t see them on the posts – perhaps I’m just blind. I’m a bit of a clutz when it comes to all the technical stuff.

  I have replied to the comment, however it doesn’t appear to be showing up (or at least not to me!) Thank you for the quick reply.

  My apologies; you’re right. Are they under your dashboard Comments/Discussion page, perhaps in moderation? Are you using the reply arrow or replying off the Notification in the grey Admin bar?

  When I click on my comment it says that it has been approved and it’s not in the ‘pending’ area, so I would assume that it’s cleared moderation.

  I reply by going into the comments section in the dashboard and then hitting the ‘reply’ button underneath the comment (next to ‘edit’, ‘history’ and so on), not via the reply arrow in the actual post. Is it better to use the reply arrow?
