Why aren't our author names / social media buttons showing up?

  Hello!
  My friend and I are launching our blog–on the WordPress “preview,” our author names are showing up on the bottom, as are the “Like” buttons for social media–we figured out with “screen options” how to get those shown. But if you go to the public blog page, they’re not there! This is problematic, because, you know, we’re different people;) and will be posting different posts–the author tag is important. And, obviously we want people to share our brilliance all over the world wide web. Please help! Thank you very much!

  Ah! Now I understand the issue. Is there a way to get our names to show up on the homepage as well, or do you have to click on the link to the post? Sorry, I just understood this issue and realized it probably has to do with the theme, and not a WordPress thing. But if there’s a way to get it to show up on the homepage, I’d love to know how to do it….
