Why aren't the featured images for my posts appearing on my home page?
-
Although the demo and examples for the Hemingway Rewritten shows the featured images for individual posts appearing on the Home page, it does not on my personal blog. They do appear when readers actually go to the post’s page, but not on the short intro given on my main page. I’m assuming there is a feature or setting for this that I have accidentally turned off, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Thank you for your time and help!

Hi,
On the Hemingway Rewritten theme, there are options to show or hide featured images in various locations. To show them on the blog page and on archives pages, at Customize > Content Options > Featured Images, check the box labeled “Display on blog and archives.”

Got it. This issue recently came up in another topic, but I’d forgotten about it. The reason that the featured image do not display on the blog page is that on this theme only featured images on sticky posts appear on the blog page. The Post Formats & Sticky Posts section of the Hemingway Rewritten theme guide says:
Featured images set for Sticky Posts are displayed on the blog and archives above the post content.
It seems that this is a rather opaque way of telling you that featured images do not appear on the blog page except on posts marked sticky. See the Sticky Posts section of the Post Visibility support page.

I’ve removed the modlook tag as it seems musicdoc1 was able to sort this out for you. let me know if there’s anything else I can assist with.
