Why aren't the first few lines of my latest post showing on my homepage?

  The first few lines of a post usually show on my homepage but haven’t in my latest post – why not?

  Hi emmasouthlondon,

  I believe there are blank lines at the top of your post which is being displayed instead of actual content.

  If you go into edit the post and delete the blank lines at the top I believe it will start showing your summary on the front page like the rest of your posts.

  Let me know if that works.

  Thank you so much, Sandy – I feel like rather an idiot!

  Could you also let me know –
  if I’ve cropped an image, is it possible then to make it the same size as usual – so it fits the featured image box on the homepage uniformly?

  If that’s not possible, is it at least possible to centre the cropped featured image?

  Thanks again – really appreciate your help – I’m learning all the time, but there’s so much to learn :-)

  No problem at all. It’s an easy thing to miss.

  I believe you have cropped the image and used it as your featured image.

  I would try removing the featured image, and then adding it again making sure you select the original image file you uploaded.

  There is a lot to learn and these forums are a great place to get help. It looks to me like you’re doing just fine though. :-)

  Let me know if this fixes up the featured image.

  Thanks again – I’ve made the cropped image a bit bigger, closer to the size of the original, and that’s better –

  Excellent, glad it’s looking better.

  Have you purchased any upgrades by chance like the Custom Design upgrade? If you have I can help you with some CSS code that would center those images if they are smaller than the full width.
