why auhers can't edit response?

  I’m an author in a private blog, and till 2 days or so i was able to edit my comments there. now i can’t.
  I’m worried about this matter due to the fact that I’m an editor in a group blog, and most of them are authors who won’t be able to edit their comments even that they can edit posts. it is absurd. if i trust them as authors to edit posts, and i trust them editing comments,why can’t them edit their own comments?!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What are the usernames of these authors?
  What are the URLs of the comments re: the editing?
  What happens when the author’s try to edit their comments?

  The same happened in my group blog http://bestplace0nway.wordpress.com/

  Right now the community has 2 editors plus 8 authors. 3 days ago I discovered contributors can’t edit their comments, so I changed their role to authors, only to discover that they still cannot edit comments – they don’t have an “edit” button attached to their comments :(

  i’m a manger in two blogs of my own, an editor in other one, and an author in another. as author i can’t edit my comments, not from the post and not from the manage comments panel . in the blogs which i manege, and in the blog in which i’m editor, no one of the authors can edit his or her comments.
