Why can I not copy my Word file or pdf and have the entire file, including the photo with title over

Why can I not copy my Word file or pdf and have the entire file, including the photo with title overlay, post as I have formatted it?

I have an article ready to go, title over an image at the top, but the image won’t post in my WordPress blog. How can I do this without losing quality (the image keeps compressing when I copy it form my computer to WordPress) and it loses the text I’ve inserted.

    Thanks

    Hey there eloquentb,

I believe you would have to reformat the text in the WordPress post editor as it doesn’t carry over from Word. Not 100% sure about this but it’s never worked for me like that before so it would be a safe assumption.

As for your images, if you have the original images you could just insert them into the post as you’re writing it up.

If your theme supports it you can set a featured image for your post.

As for any caption for the image, you can add text to it once you upload it into WordPress through the “insert media” menu. I believe there’s an option for that on the right hand side once you’ve uploaded the image.

Let me know if any of this works for you and if you need anything else, I’ll see what i can do to help you out :)

Hey, thank you. I’ll work on it now. I’ve am image with text through it and would prefer it be part of the title. Looks better. Alright, then, to the trenches! All best,
    B
