Why can I not replicate the design of the Pictorico demo theme?

  I’d like to replicate the sliding header on the Pictorico demo home page (http://pictoricodemo.wordpress.com/) but cannot figure out how to set this up in my site. Is it even possible on a wordpress.com site or do I need a wordpress.org site? Thanks!

  Have you reviewed the theme’s support page?

  https://wordpress.com/themes/pictorico/

  1. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Featured Content.
  2. Enter the name of a tag.
  3. Click the blue Save button at the bottom.
  4. Create a post with a featured image that’s at least 1180px wide.
  5. Give the post the tag you declared under Appearance → Customize → Featured Content.

  Works like a charm. I can’t believe I completely skipped over this set of instructions and kept going to the demo site. I have so much to learn still!
