After my site went back to free, I can’t use my .com I couldnt even find it. It kept saying it isn’t available. And suggested other names when I was going to up grade. now I am not so sure I want to upgrade again.I finally found it in purchases. My question is how do I use it. Where do I go to claim it?

I am struggling to instal wordpress on Fasthosts and they have just told me this: ‘Please update the A record of your domain name, contact your Nameserver hosts and ask them to point it to 77.68.64.8.
    Your Nameserver Hosts is wordpress.com.

    zebraonabike.co.uk NS records
    zebraonabike.co.uk name server ns3.wordpress.com.
    zebraonabike.co.uk name server ns1.wordpress.com.
    zebraonabike.co.uk name server ns2.wordpress.com.’

But when I go to my domain settings on wordpress.com zebraonabike.co.uk does now show up, I can only see zebraonabike.wordpress.com.

Sorry I pasted t his by accident and cant seem to delete it

  • Hi there,

Your domain, luckysantoro.com, expired on 9 September and was removed from our system on 22 October.

Expired domains don’t become available immediately, but go through a process of 80 to 90 days before the registrar releases them, at which point anyone can re-use the domain.

    Domain Expiration

I can try to recover the domain from our registrar, but if it has already entered redemption they charge an additional $80 fee to restore the domain. Please confirm if you agree to that fee, and I can get the process started. To be clear, the fee might not be necessary, but I won’t know that until I contact our registrar.

    @zebraonabike

I’ve replied to you in the other thread you created.

I can’t afford that at this time. I’m guessing there is no way to check without being ready to pay. Thank you very much for checking on this for me. I had no idea what happened. I have no choice, just have to let it go. Thank you

  • I can email our registrar to check. I’ll let you know what they say.

Thank you. You are very kind. That is much appreciated.

  • I’ve heard back from our registrar, and the domain is not in redemption yet, so I’ve sent you a payment link via email to pay the regular renewal fee for the domain. Once we receive your payment, I can reactivate the domain on your account for you.

Thank you so much. I will do so ASAP after work. Thank-you again

  • I just checked, and it looks like the card you’re using to try and make the payment is being declined for some reason. Please check with your bank and make sure they’re not blocking it for some reason. Specifically, if you’re outside the US, make sure your bank allows you to make international payments with that card – some banks block international and/or online payments unless you specifically authorise it as a fraud-prevention measure.

I’m in Texas. Yes. I’m a few dollars short. Heading to bank as soon as it opens. Using husband’s account, shouldn’t be a problem. Thank-you.

  • We’ve received your payment, thank you. I’ve restored your domain to your account and it’s already showing your site again.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
