Why cannot I not 'publish' to WordPress.com
-
When I click Publish, I get the following message.
“Error attempting to connect to blog, https://alloveroz.com/xmlrpc.php. Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure chsnnel.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Where are you clicking publish? In the editor here:
Can you try clearing your cache and cookies please:

Thank you for your speedy reply.
I have cleared the cache as instructed but I still get the same error message.
Should the path be https://alloveroz.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php ??? because I think when I set it up I did not put the <wordpress> in as my blog URL is http://www.alloveroz.com
If it should have <wordpress> in it, how do I change it?
Thank you for your help I am getting a little frustrated!

I believe Windows Live Writer should work with your custom domain, but switching to the WordPress.com address is worth a try.
Have you been using Windows Live Writer for a while and it just stopped working? Or did you just set it up and its never worked?
-
Thank you again for your speedy response.
I have only just started to use Writer because I could get no support from Blogjet!
The software was already installed as an app on this computer (a Surface Pro 3, running Windows 8.1), after going through the set up, the above error occurred.
I would try the wordpress.com but I don’t know how to get back into settings in Writer to effect the change!
Cheers,
Roger
PS There doesn’t appear to be any useful support from Windows on Live Writer!

Hey Roger,
I believe there should be a setting under “File” in the menu at the top of the page that allows you to customize the blogs you have added to your account. Can you check? It may read “Blog Settings” or something to that effect.
Alternatively, I’d like to try adding a new site to Windows Live Writer using the following URL:
http://alloveroz.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php
Can you give that a try? We have Windows Live Writer instructions here for adding a site:

Hi There,
Thank you again for your reply and suggestions.
I have tried both suggestions, even uninstalling Writer and re-installing it.
The ‘private blog’ is temporally ‘disabled’.
Even though I have unistalled and re-installed it finds ‘alloveroz’ as soon as it fires up.
I have tried adding ‘wordpress’ to the URL as instructed but the original ‘Error’ message appears.
When I try to create a new account I get a different message;
Network Connection Error. Error connecting to blog at;
https://alloveroz.wordpress.com/wmlrpc.php
Moved Permanently. Moved PermanentlyClicking on ‘View Blog’ takes me straight to the blog!
I’m sorry to be a pain.
Cheers,
Roger

Hey Roger,
Just to be sure, are you entering xmlrpc.php after the URL? Your example uses wmlrpc.php. The correct address should be as follows:
https://alloveroz.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php
Have you found any setting within the program to remove the blog you already have setup?

Hi Guys,
I think you’ve cracked it!
Creating another blog using < wordpress > in the URL seems to have solved the problem. I have published two test posts and they have both uploaded OK.
Thank you very much indeed for your speedy and practical responses, to say nothing of your patience.
Very good support service, hopefully I won’t have to trouble you again.
Roger
