why can't followers read my posts?

    Two problems…that are so elementary, i find it hard to believe we are having this kind of trouble.
    1. Followers (currently only 1) can not read my posts. How do i (or they) enable the ability to read what i am writing?

    2. How do i get another ‘administrator’ on the account, so they can post to the same blog?

    Please advise… i am about to chuck this whole idea…as it is not worth the frustration. We have been at it for over an hour!

    The only non-contributing user role for a private site is “Viewer.” See the following note in the User Roles support page:

    Note: If someone is a Follower of your public site, and then you set that site to private, they do not automatically become a Viewer. Viewers must always be specifically invited. Viewers must also sign up to follow a private site if they would like to receive updates each time you publish a new post.

    Invite a user and assign a contributing user role as described in the “Invite People to Contribute to Your Blog” section of the Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers support page.

    Note the warning in the following description of the Administrator role in the User Roles support page:

    An Administrator has full power over the site and can do absolutely everything. Administrators can create more Administrators, invite new users, remove users, and change user roles. They have complete control over posts, pages, uploaded files, comments, settings, themes, imports, other users – the whole shebang.

    Nothing is off-limits for Administrators, including deleting the entire site. This is why we recommend having only one administrator per blog.
