why can't followers see my blog
-
I have published a new post several times, none of my followers have been able to see my blog post.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @potjesinbarrie!
It looks like you’ve made your site “private”. Because of this, only Administrators and Editors will be able to log in and view your site.
If you would like for followers to be able to access your private site, you’ll need to invite them as a viewer. See this support doc on how to do that.
If you would like to make your site public, in your WP Admin screen go to Settings -> Reading. After you you’ve done this, find the box that says, “Site Visibility”. You’ll want to select the bullet that says, “Allow search engines to index this site.”
I hope this gets you going! Have a great day!

Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I do have my site set to private so only the followers I’ve invited can get a notification that I have posted a new blog post.
The previous 18 posts have worked flawlessly. My most recent post, none of my 70 or so followers are getting a notification that there is a new post to view. I’ve reposted it several times. It shows in my list of blog posts as successfully published, yet none is notified.
Please advise. -

That’s strange. I’ll tag this thread for staff assistance. Make sure you subscribe to this thread so you’ll be notified when a member of staff responds.
Thanks!

Hi @potjesinbarrie,
It looks like you had more than a hundred email followers before you made your site private.
Since then you’ve only added one private viewer, though. And that one user only follows your site through the reader, not via email.
You can add private email followers, though.
Each person would need an account, which they can create here:
https://wordpress.com/start/account/usersI recommend having create an account before you invite them to the site. It’s possible to add them by email, but they would still need to create an account before they could accept the invitation, and that can be confusing. So please have them create the accounts first.
Then you can invite them to view the site here:
https://potjesinausy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=wpcom-invite-users&user-role=followerAnother option that may be a bit easier is to go ahead and make your site public, but discourage search engines from following it. I hope that helps!

Thank you. That was the issue. I had changed it to Private a little while back. Fixed now.
