Why can't I access my renewed blog?

  I just paid the $13 to renew my blog domain. It came out of my PP acct and I received a receipt from WP in my email. Why can I still not go to my blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  The problem was that your domain registration for styleandesteem.com expired 95 days ago on September 14, 2014.

  The $13 that you paid was to map a domain. This means that you would connect your WordPress.com site to a domain that you have registered elsewhere. A full domain registration costs $18 ($13 for mapping and $5 for the actual registration).

  You can still access your site here: http://styleandesteem.wordpress.com/

  And you can add a custom domain to it again, but as the domain expired, it won’t be a renewal. That can only be done if the domain is still active. However, you can re-register the domain, as long as it wasn’t purchased by someone else.

  I see that you contested a charge with PayPal, so you may need to contend with them before making another transaction.

  Phew!! Thanks so much! Yesterday I couldn’t even get it to access with the wordpress.com at the end. Thanks so much! You’re info has been SO SO helpful! So if I pay he last $5 then I should be able to get the old domain (styleandesteem.com)back? Assuming it hasn’t been sold of course. Thanks so much, again!

  Leigh, Oh it’s my pleasure. The domain stuff can be very nerve wracking!

  Since you reversed payment on the $13 domain mapping, you’ll have to pay $18 altogether ($13 again for the domain mapping…and then $5 for registering the domain itself).

  I don’t think that I have received the $13 back. I may can cancel the discpute. I may have to wait until PP tells me the outcome too?

  Hey there,

  The $13 transaction was never completed as you disputed the payment before it went through.

  There is an additional $20.00 EUR charge to cancel the chargeback. When you dispute a payment with PayPal, there is a $20.00 penalty. That fine does need to be covered, if you still want to register your domain with us.
