  Why can’t I add a link inside the post. It’s faded out.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’m sorry. I added the link but in my own way not using the image that’s faded out. I want to be able to use the image that’s faded because I want readers to be taken to a new page. I don’t want them to leave mine.

  If you can help, I would really appreciate it.

  I’m not quite sure what you mean. Can you please give me the link to the faded image? In order to add links to a page or post, please take a look at this support guide:

  I don’t want to write the whole http:…. address inside my post. But I couldn’t insert a link inside my post without having such a long address. See my latest post. The button for the link is faded, so I can’t attach one word to the link.

  I know how to add links inside the post. But if it doesn’t work because it’s faded and not working, I won’t be able to do it.

  Can you help?

  Hi Anna,

  I think the faded link you are talking about was this link:

  http://greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/how_stories_change_brain?utm_source=GGSC+Newsletter+-+December+2013&utm_campaign=GG+Newsletter+-+Dec+2013+&utm_medium=email

  I have unlinked it.

  What you can do is select the entire link when you edit the post, and then click on the link button (looks like this: https://cloudup.com/cOSAt6uz2lY). Then put in the link and next to where it says Title: put whatever you want. That will make whatever words you put after “Title:” link to the URL you pasted in. Please look at the screenshot below of what you should be seeing:

  I’m frustrated now. It doesn ‘t work at all.

  I hope a few followers of my blog don’t get multiple emails after I try to update my post. And the thing is there isn’t any good result. Why it doesn’t work?

  You know what. I’m glad I watched the video. I’m sorry. I forgot how to do it. Now, I know. Everything works. I kept addresses inside my post that why they didn’t want to disappear.
