Why can't I add this code from another site as a text widget on my blog?

  Hi there! I’m trying to add a link from another site called Foodie Blogroll to my blog. I’ve tried using their widget code with no success. I copy and paste it in a text widget, but it won’t show up on my blog. They say it’s WordPress.com friendly, but no matter how many times I try, it will not work.

  Is it something you do not allow, or is it some snafu?

  Hi there!

  I went to your site’s dashboard and checked your current widgets and I don’t see the text widget with that content listed. There’s nothing in the code that I can see that would prevent it from being displayed.

  Can you add the widget again and let me know if it doesn’t work? If it doesn’t, please leave the widget active so I can take a closer look at the settings.
