Why can't I adjust the width of the Facebook Like Box sidebar widget?

  How do I adjust the Facebook Like Box Widget width in the side bar?

  I am unable to custom adjust the width of the Facebook Like Box sidebar widget. On my blog page, this section of the sidebar is uneven. When I installed it, I was able to customize it so that it was centered and even. Somehow, this setting was changed and I am now unable to reset the width to anything under 300, which is too wide, uncentered, and it looks sloppy on my blog. Every time I try to change the width, it resets back to 300 when I click the save button. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. That did not help.
