Why can't I cancel my upgrade package and domain registration?

    I purchased a domain and upgrade package on Saturday, but upon exploring the options offered by WordPress, determined that this is not the right atmosphere for the business website I am trying to build. Over the next two days, I submitted a half-dozen requests for a full refund, which should not have been a problem according to the guidelines provided. However, I never received the confirmation email which would have allowed me to cancel my package, and now am being told that I am no longer able to receive a refund. I cannot find any means of contacting a person within this company to assist in my problem, other than sending the issue to the security-problem page, which did not generate any response either. Any guidance I can receive on this issue would be most appreciated; I am very displeased that I’m being told by the site that I cannot receive a refund that I have submitted many requests for, beginning an hour after having made my purchase and continuing until now. Please help get my money back!

    I’d be happy to refund your Value Bundle purchase for you. Since you’ve registered a domain using your Value Bundle, I have a few options:

    1) I can refund your entire Value Bundle purchase ($99). Your domain name, humanpowerunlimited.com, will be cancelled. It will be fully unavailable for several weeks; after this, anyone can buy it. If you’re okay with losing your domain name (potentially permanently), this is the option to go with.

    2) I can refund your Value Bundle purchase, less the domain mapping fee–a total refund of $73. You’ll be able to use humanpowerunlimited.com with your WordPress.com blog, another WordPress.com blog, or with another website.

    Let me know which you would prefer.

    I would like to keep my domain name, and have the bundle purchase refunded.

  • ripple220, I have canceled and refunded your bundle minus the domain as requested.

    icesling, similar to what Phil (pcrumm) mentioned above, you have the option to cancel your bundle and keep the domain or cancel everything (if you don’t mind the chance of not being able to re-register the domain).
