Why can't I change my blog address?

Hi, I want to change my blog address to Littletalks.wordpress.com. However, I am not allowed to, as the website already exists. But, when I type that address, I’m redirected to a link that says the blog has been deleted. So, why can’t I use this particular blog address?

That’s not possible because deleted blog URLs are not recycled here and you can confirm by reading:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-blog/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
