Why can’t I change my e-mail?

I have been trying for the past 30 minutes to change my e-mail address associated on the site. I go to Edit Profile>Settings>General and change the e-mail in the field. They send a confirmation link, I click it and get “Cheatin uh?”. This is really irritating, can someone please help me out?

I don’t know why it keeps saying I’m “cheatin”. I am the only admin and author on the blog. I haven’t deleted the blog, yet everytime I send a confirmation message I get that painfully annoying message “Cheatin uh?”

This is a duplicate thread. I have answered you in the first thread you posted on this topic.
Staff have been upgrading and doing maintenance and over the course of the last 3 days some members have had problems arising from the work being done. Volunteers cannot help with these. Only Staff have backend access to blogs and posting multiple threads to the forum is not the way to go. Please contact Staff directly with all your details. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

When you say “Staff” do you mean WordPress staff? So you’re saying the only way to change my e-mail is to ask a staff member to do it for me?

Okay, sorry about the confusion. Just for your information this is a peer support forum where the majority of answers are being provided by Volunteers ie. your fellow bloggers. Volunteers don’t have backend access to blogs and cannot apply technical “fixes”. Only Staff can do that. :)
