Why can't I choose classical editor in my WordPress dashboard Anymore?
-
I just went to work on a post that I’ve been writing in my WordPress dashboard in Classical Editor but when I went to work on it tonight, I couldn’t even choose classical editor. The way you have it is absolutely horrendous. How can I choose classical editor again? The way it is now, I can’t even write with lowercase letters it writes my posts in all caps. This is horrendous. Please help me be able to choose classical editor again in my dashboard.
Also if you get rid of people you found a good way if your taking away classical editor.
Please help me.

We have tips for transitioning from the classic editor to blocks https://wordpress.com/support/switching-from-the-classic-to-the-block-editor/ and FAQs: https://wordpress.com/support/replacing-the-older-wordpress-com-editor-with-the-wordpress-block-editor/#frequently-asked-questions
And, if you really want to use something like the classic editor, we recommend sticking with the classic block: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
We also have some extensive documentation available at https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/
If you have any feedback on the new editor, we’re always looking for ways to improve it, so please let us know!

Can I revert to classic editor as my default again like before? This is terrible. Can’t write my drafts like this.
-
You would need to use the Classic Editor plugin:
To do so on WordPress.com would require a Business or eCommerce plan. Otherwise, you could set up a WordPress site via another host (BlueHost, Pressable, etc).
My suggestion would be to mess around with the new editor and see if you can’t get used to it. I admit, I found it confusing myself in the beginning. But now when I end up using the classic editor for some reason, I find it maddeningly slow.

I have checked your links, screenshots and post and plugins out and my dashboard still looks the same and can’t revert to classic editor. Please take me step by step. This is so confusing. You should’ve just left it the way it was.

To install the Classic Editor plugin on WordPress.com, you would need to upgrade to the WordPress.com Business plan:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/
WordPress.com is $33/mo or $300/yr. To upgrade, go here:
Then choose the site you wish to upgrade and follow the prompts to choose and pay for the Business plan.

How do I go from all caps to lowercase letters when typing a post in WordPress? WordPress puts all my letters in all caps. Don’t like that. Checked shortcuts no way to show me that way either.
Please help -
Hi there,
Is it possible that you are entering your text as a “heading” instead of using the “paragraph block?”
Some themes will specify ALL CAPS for headings (it depends on the theme) but typing in the standard Paragraph Block should not convert to capitalized text automatically.
Which site is this an issue on? I see you have a few on your account. Can I see this on your homepage? Or is it a specific place I need to look at?
Happy to take a look at any capitalized text you have now, to see if anything appears to be in error. Thanks for pointing it out!

Weather I’m typing in Heading 2 or paragraph in classic block it types in all caps and previews in all caps and has since WordPress has started using this block. I just want to be able to type in lowercase too. However, I don’t how to do that. is there a way/shortcut to get it to from caps to lowercase?
I need help with both sites. However the one I’m writing on is Crystal and Daisy Mae’s Photo-Blogging Site. In Draft-The draft is called When Murder & Love Collide.
If you can help it sure would be appreciated
Thank You,
Crystal -
Is your issue due to the theme you’re using? Does this also apply in your case?

Where do I see if it’s set to all caps? This may be my issue but tell me where I check to see if it’s set to all caps?

Hi again,
Where do I see if it’s set to all caps? This may be my issue but tell me where I check to see if it’s set to all caps?
Which site is this for? I see you have a few on your account. Happy to take a closer look at your site settings.
-
I need to know it for both sites. I really need to know it for CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE and I’m using the Loadstar theme for that site and I also need to know the settings for WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE (ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING) which also uses loadstar. I need to be able to write in lowercase letters too.
Please note, I have the free plan currently -
It looks like you’re typing your posts with the “heading” option and that theme converts headings to upper case.
What happens if you just start a new post and begin typing?

I have both all cap and small but how do I get it a little bigger. The letters are to small. I’m afraid my readers won’t be able to to read my posts? All I need is toggle bar back so I can choose. I’m trying to write in classic editor as a regular post. I need heading 3 which is the perfect size for my post.
Ahhh I’m so frustrated.
What now? -
Hello there,
Many thanks for getting back to us.
I have both all cap and small but how do I get it a little bigger.
As part of its design, it looks this theme uppercases headings, which is why you’re seeing the headings in capitals.
The letters are to small. I’m afraid my readers won’t be able to to read my posts?
Just to reassure you here, this is actually a known bug we’re working on fixing – and this only affects editor view, it’s not affecting the front end of the site.
The classic editor is now deprecated, you may wish to look at using this classic block: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
I hope this helps.

I will consider using block. However, I need some confirmation on something. Am I still on the Free plan on both of my sites. Site links are: CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE and WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE (ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING) . Please let me know. I don’t want to upgrade yet and only want the Free Plan.
Thanks so much. -
