Why can't I choose images for my gallery widget?

  I’m trying to set up a gallery widget for my sidebar but it won’t let me choose pictures for it. Nothing happens when I click the ‘choose images’ button, I know it’s supposed to take me to an ‘edit gallery’ box. Is there any particular reason this might happen?
