Why can't I copy and paste a doc into a post anymore?
-
Why can’t I copy and paste a document from my files into a new post. I used to do that easily. Now I’m getting this command: to use …. Ctrl+V/Cmd+V keyboard shortcuts. But I don’t know what that means or where these keyboard short cuts are.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are copying and pasting from Microsoft WORD or any document created in a word processing program, but failing to do that in the correct manner (see below) the results may not have been immediately apparent but will be cumulative and will manifest over time.
Microsoft Word is a word processing program https://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/ that’s not compliant with web standards. The result of copy and pasting from Microsoft Word into the Tiny MCE editor in WordPress blogs can be unexpected, and contain a lot of formatting code that’s not compliant unless you know how to use the built-in features in the Visual editor for using Word cleanly. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text
Go here and enable this > Settings > Writing
Formatting
_ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
“save changes”I recommend using Windows Live Writer for posting to your blog > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/

Also note that your site is wearing a very old retired theme and the recommendation is to change to a newer theme. That’s because themes are retired when they no longer support all wordpress.COM features. See here for free 2 column themes with a right hand sidebar https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/two-columns+right-sidebar/?sort=free Go to to learn how to use the theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ after changing themes https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes

Thanks. I’ll try these suggestions. I knew my theme was getting old. I appreciate the help.
