Why can't I customize Fonts in my blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Can anyone help me?
I want to change the fonts of the headings and posts in my blog by Appearance-Customize.
But after I saved the fonts I like, I went back to the website and the fonts didn’t change at all. I am pretty sure I changed and saved the fonts and it is very weird.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Me, too. It was wonderful to get the email last week showing us how to to add Google fonts. It worked then, but seems to have problems today.

Payton Swick saw my comment on his blog post (the one announcing we were given Google fonts) and he solved it! I had chosen fonts with the “TK” symbol – meaning you have to purchase the premium plan to activate them.

Hi swrightboucher, I saw the Google fonts too! I already purchased the premium plan and chose fonts with the “TK” symbol!
But as you can see in my website, the fonts of the home page still didn’t change after I saved & published!
At first I thought it could be some problem with my PC not to show the right fonts, I opened my website in another desktop but still the fonts didn’t change…

@dengkliu – When you open the customizer and select the fonts tab, do the new fonts names display? I’m wondering if you didn’t click the ‘publish’ button at the top after choosing them. Just a though.

Yes! @swrightboucher- Actually when I open the customizer, the website seems to be showing the exact fonts I want to change to and the new fonts names display too. But after I click Save&Publish and close the customize, everything just remain the same. That’s really weird…

There are 30 free fonts we can use – no upgrade required. can use. For me it was as easy as pie to use the customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ and follow these instructions http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2015/07/31/free-google-fonts. I have now used it again without any issues.

Make sure you are running browser and version of it found here http://browsehappy.com or upgrade.

    Hi there,

Sorry for the trouble! I see your Base Font (Sorts Mill Goudy) on your blog, but I see that the Headings font (Gentium Book Basic) isn’t showing up for some reason. I reported that issue to our theme developers so they can take a look at that issue.

I’ll let you know as soon as I get an update — thanks for reporting that!
